Bill Leary Air Conditioning & Heating, a Sponsor of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Metuchen

Bill, my friend,

I want to thank you again for sponsoring this years' Metuchen Distinguished Gentleman's Ride; I want to let you know how it went.

It was a phenomenal success, thanks in no small part to you! On May 21st we had rides in 893 cities in 107 countries around the world. Over 106,000 riders, 80% men and 20% women — all with the same goal, to raise funds for prostate cancer research and men's suicide prevention programs — this year we raised $7.38 million, the most ever in the last 12 years.

The event here in Metuchen, which was made possible by you and a couple other sponsors. raised over $60,000 — making us the 19th strongest fundraiser of the 893 rides around the globe. The day of the ride we had 135 riders, all impeccably dressed and on cool and interesting motorcycles. 14 Police Motorcycles escorted us on a scenic ride through the backroads of New Jersey. Our unusual motorcade of 150 vehicles piloted by men in wingtips, tweeds and bowties, and women in their finery, ended at a terrific brewpub where we all had lunch, and took the opportunity to recognize our Top Fundraisers.

A fun day was had by all. But most importantly, we were part of the effort that raised over $7 million this year to improve the health of men everywhere (over $45 million raised since the inception of the DGR). And this is something we could never have accomplished without the help of our Metuchen sponsors — Bill Leary Air Conditioning & Heating, Cross Country Powersports, and the Metuchen P.B.A..

The way I feel is, if our efforts can prevent one more man from living (or dying) with prostate cancer, or prevent one more man from taking his own life, then we have won, we have made someone's life and the world a better place. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for helping us make this such a success.

With deepest gratitude,

Stu.
